GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS-Episode 25: Promise

So our beloved series has ended a month ago and we are left with an itch - an itch to antagonize the creators for a second season!!!

Not quite the ending I was looking forward to... because I'm all psyched for the next season!!!

The Gundam gods have heard our prayers!

Yes! According to an article in Crunchyroll, plans for a new series is in progress as announced on the official site for the Gundam Build Fighters TV Anime. It was also formally announced at the recent 53rd Shizuoka Hobby Show 2014 featuring a poster reading "GUNPLA BATTLE NEXT FIGHTERS STANDBY".

Isn't it exciting!?

I'm currently watching the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn OVA on YouTube and you know what? I think I regret not seeing it the first time it aired! It is that fucking awesome! Now, I'm planning my next haul from the toy store should include the Unicorn and the Banshee. ^_^

The End is Near - Gunpla X Gundam.Info New Year Campaign Until Valentine's Day 2014

So, of course, everyone's excited! Well, everyone who's got their hands on the kits with the serial codes anyway.

The noob that I am, every other Gundam campaign had slipped my attention despite multiple subscriptions to every other known Gundam-related website and blog.

And now, I've only seen it this week - imagine my disappointment when I looked at the registration period. It's until February 14, 2014. Hu-Well, of course, there's still time - the problem is the moolah! I've read somewhere, some people even buy a lot of target items with the serial codes for campaigns like this.

Huh, if I ever get my hands on a serial number my target prize is the MG set.  T_T

Have a look-see at the prizes.

There are special prizes for the Singapore area ONLY.

Isn't it exciting?! You get GUNPLA and then, YOU get GUNPLA! Bandai is awesome! They'll even deliver it!!! Imagine that waiting time....

So, grab all target items you can get before campaign ends - otherwise MID-YEAR CAMPAIGN it is!!!

Let's not forget to read all the details before entering:
GUNPLA x GUNDAM.INFO NEW YEAR CAMPAIGN

Now, let's see if I can get my hands on those selected items.... O_o

Meh, I can always wait until the next year... but that Sinanju OVA ver though... -_-.

MG Char's ZAKU 2.0 and Gundam Build Fighters Ep. 01

September proved to be a "sucky" month as all sunny days have been washed away by torrential rains.
Not to mention life-energy-wasting overtime work at the office. Which, sad to say, continued on to a ghastly October.

Anyways, let's stop with that before I turn into a Dementor.

So.....my Char Zaku is done! Finally, yeah? I had to sneak in a "me" time one Sunday afternoon - just so I can panel line and do some easy pose shots.. hehehe I had fun, to say the least. I did everything while my Mom's in the background working on her laptop. teehee

I use a technical pen and a standard ink to panel line my models. Most of it doesn't last after a good deal of posing, especially if you keep touching that certain area (e.g. knees, arms) and you have well, in some cases, sweaty hands. Well, I'm an official noob and I keep forgetting to top coat after panel lining... meh.

As it is, I have an affinity for girly poses so you can already guess what I did on this set.

What I love most about this unit is it's super pose-ability despite looking massive and tense.

Enjoy!

First bad boy pose

A bit of Freddie Mercury

Action pose!

Those skirts never got in the way.

Here he is having a chat with Exia. "Am I that pink, mate?"

Zaku with the wrong blonde.

On a Zeon Action Base! Action Packed! A poor instagram shot

Since, October is in the chair and the Red Comet's unit is done, I guess it's time for the next project... to wait again! Hahaha It is easily hypothetical what my next project is.

Augh! I have to envy my friends who went to the Gunpla Expo in Singapore and in Manila. I could have easily gone to the Manila expo... the weather just didn't cooperate. I did attend the Otaku Expo with two of my Gunpla Otaku friends where there was a Gunpla Caravan and some model building competition... which I didn't cooperate in (obviously because I am a noob).

There's this new Gundam series titled Gundam Build Fighters, it should be fun, don't you think? Here's an episode 1 I found on Youtube (already, right?)! Enjoy!

Waiting for the Bus: MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Ver. 3.0

So I got anxious and forgot to place my pre-order for my dream Cryska Barchenowa Figma. Now I wait (anxiously, again) to see if GTO has extra stock.

So the other day, I was browsing my reading lists from last week and as usual Gundam Guy has the most amazing Gundam updates.

MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 3.0

Here's a preview from the post:

Here's a side by side with the earlier Ver 2.0 for comparison:

Aaaand here's a look at the promised expansion set excluded from the deal, look at that decal sheet:

Gunplars are claiming the unit to be an upscaled version of the 1/144 RG Rx-78-2 Gundam and would be a waste of time to acquire, however, I wouldn't know since I haven't bought any of the earlier versions!

I think it's all very EXCITING, though! (yeah well, maybe coz' I don't have an RX78-2 yet!)

Here's another blog about Bandai's preview by Q:
Q's MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Preview

I believe this latest version would be a very fine addition to my gundam collection. Nyahahahah. That rhymed!

So I guess, I'm getting this once it's released - or better yet - not forget to PRE-ORDER!

A Sick Sinanju Painted Build

Seeing that my post for the Sinanju OVA vs Ver. Ka has been kind of popular (based on my view chart, anyway) and I haven't been posting anything since forever, I am now sharing you what has recently caught my attention in the Gundam Modelling World care of Gundam Guy's blog post!

It's not every day your jaw drops and puke rainbows after seeing something awesome.

Look at those awesome details!!!

Well, I guess someone DID have time for that!!! Those meme pictures say outright how i fucking feel.
If you want to feel the same or more, go visit Gundam Guy's post Sinanju Ver. Ka Painted Build.

Seig Zeon!

11/13/13 Update: Hey how about a Geara Doga in Full Frontal Red? takechako did an awesome job customizing his build!

More WING!

Hello, internet. Haha. Internet.. Meh.

Wow! Its been weeks (!) since I last posted, and I'm still going to post Wing Gundam shots! This time though, I took time to put him on a stand. But that is where all my efforts stop because I was anxious and so I disregard the background - I was also watching Game of Thrones! Silly me. hihi

I didn't even had time to edit them on Photoshop.

Hot days like these (its freaking summer in the Philippines), I get all lazy. Meh.

Now, Epyon's got a playmate and my one shelf space is getting full because their wings take so much space! Haha

Its a stand-off!

Blah, blah, blah, blah...

Meh.

I had trouble with pointing the Buster Rifle, it keeps pointing down .

See? Come to think of it, the box photos show it that way also. Hmm...

I really like the look of the Bird Mode. Its one thing I like with Gundam Wing units - transformation!

Zwing!

I almost cried putting on the dry transfers. It was hell.

So, the glass table effect has awesomeness to it.

The Buster Rifle. Brings terror just by looking at it...meh!

I never had time posing Wing Gundam to its glorified effects... I... I... I got lazy...!!! huhuhuhu

But look who was brought in to the office last week?!

Eggzoiting!!! ^____________^

I took a photo of my small collection. This one is from my Instagram. I think I have to get another shelf... (I'm sharing the bookshelf with my engineer mom, hence the cylinders). Featuring my other toys, POP Batman, Ketchup Bottle Chowder and Annoying Yashichi from Mirmo!

Those top coats need to be used! hah! One of these days, I guess.

Char Aznable Theme for The Gundam World 2013 Exhibition in Sapporo Factory

So, I saw Gundam Guy's post about the Gundam World 2013 Exhibition.

Char Aznable is the theme.

OMG!!! I heart CHAR!!!! >_<

But I guess I don't love him enough to drop everything and go there right now. Hahahahaha! <<-- Action Mask laugh.

Further reading into GG's post, I found the video was posted by Gtoys blog, which was in nihongo, which I don't understand because I'm too lazy to click the translate button, so I just scrolled down to the videos. If you can read nihongo, then feel free to browse Gtoys blog. Here's from Youtube.

One of these days, I'mma build me a Zaku helmet.

For my friends who are near Sapporo Factory and planning to visit there, I envy you - especially since this exhibit's admission is free.

I wish Manila featured big events like these. Meh.

WING GUNDAM Ver Ka and a Heartwarming Like from my Little Cousin

So I just realized that Ver Ka's are for standing poses. Well, that lot's a bit of a downer.

But I still love this model, the colors are so fucking bright! It's an awesomely candy colored figure! It stands out actually.

I'm still a way off from completing this though, the shield and the rifle are still waiting for assembly.

Well, I completed the gundam unit just days ago, and here's some annoying unartistic photos which despite the lack of focus, I like to show around. Some of it you've seen from my last post, I guess. Haha.

Like the Epyon, I posed him like Prince Cedie without his Wings.

Just posing him that way looks a bit awkward...

Much better!

Way out of focus, girl!

Nice, nice...

"OMG, where's my V-fin?!"

Sitting pretty! ^_^

I tried doing what Gaijin Gunpla does on his models.
He absolutely stood there all day like that.

While I was having fun posing him around (well, taking different angles of one pose is more like it), his v-fin keep falling off so I did the best thing and super glued it to that mofo of a head.

The decals are going to come in later, I read they were a pain in the ass to stick on, especially they were absolutely minute details. Seems exciting!

Yesterday, my brother celebrated his 20th birthday, and relatives came to party. One little cousin of mine, Deus, was excited to see my small collection and wanted to get his picture taken with the set. He was all smiles looking and pointing at the mecha and I could really see his amazement! And for that one brief moment, I could almost say, "This is why I build Gunpla." Here's his pic!
